If there is one project that truly shows my complete suite of design and marketing skills it's Siren's Crush. My work for Sirens features everything from complete brand identity creation and management, conceptualizing and art directing photo shoots and digital art for websites and marketing material, to music direction and video production.
My role in the band aside from being a keyboard player and musical director is to use my graphic and development skills to market and sell this act to top corporate event agents across the country. Since I began marketing the group back in 2009, Siren's Crush has played thousands of shows across the country and we have become one of the of the top corporate bands working in the industry.

WEBSITE/ EMAIL CAMPAIGNS
Responsive Web Design • Copy Writing
I wanted the website to have a clean, contemporary feel. The homepage features the signature Siren's Crush art work and I used damask patterns within the parallax scrolling panels to show a sense of sophistication and class. I kept the copy to a minimum and let the visuals sell the band.
Below are examples of the many email campaigns I've designed and launched.

PROMOTIONAL VIDEOS
Videography • Video Production
I typically gear myself up with a few GoPros, some stabilizing gimbal rigs and I have them by the side of the stage ready to go during every show. When the band and the crowd start to heat up, I hand the cameras to a few crew members, I grab one myself and start shooting the performance.
One of my favorite tricks is to shoot from the stage Point of view, even while I'm performing. I'll walk out to the front of the stage and even shoot the crowd.
After each shoot I preview the footage and begin choosing the right shots to edit. I can typically have videos up on the website a day or two after each performance. Videos are great to keep things fresh and clients love to see us in action.

PROMO ART
Art Direction • Graphic Design
For the latest marketing material, I wanted to showcase the band members and their stylish, fun nature. My concept was to show them casually strolling down an iconic San Diego street headed to a "gig" in the Gaslamp Quarter.
Considering I wanted a larger than life, surreal graphic, I decided to digitally render, paint and composite the image. I set up an outdoor photo shoot and we used an empty parking lot to get our walking shots. I directed the band to walk in formation and just be themselves not focusing on the photographer.
In post production I purchased a stock photo of the Gaslamp, removed the traffic and digitally painted it with a rich sunset. I cropped and added the band and painted all the lighting effects.
I was really happy with the result. It truly showcases the band and our playful yet sophisticated nature set against one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Clients absolutely love the image and it helps sell the band in all their Southern California glory.

BAND LOGO
Brand Identity • Logo Design • Illustration

It all started with a name and logo. The band is led by three talented and beautiful female vocalists.
They are named after the Sirens of the Odyssey mythology: three gorgeous, winged female sea creatures
that mesmerized sailors with their voices, then preyed on them. I created a stylish wing theme to represent the mythology, then added a bloody heart with thorn accents to signify the danger aspect.

PROMO ART 2015
Art Direction • Graphic Design
For the 2015 promo art I had an idea in mind. I pictured an ultra realistic concert with every band member in a grand live pose "rocking out" in front of a large crowd. I was picturing more a movie poster type graphic than a simple photo, so I knew I would have to render it digitally.
I hired world famous Rock Photographer Rick Gould and we set up a shoot in a studio in San Diego. I had to make sure the lighting was just right so I could simulate and airbrush the concert light details.
We put on some rock music and I directed the band members to mock performance stances all individually
and we started shooting. The band did great and once they got the hang of it we got some great poses.
I mocked up a simple stage backdrop example, then hired a 3D Graphics specialist to create a CG concert stage for me. He output high-res renders of my desired stage set up and I went to work. A few long hours compositing and airbrushing in Photoshop and Lightroom and the end results were better than I imagined.

PRICING MAILER AND FLYERS
Graphic Design • Copy Writing • Print Layout
Bands need performance price sheets, technical riders and stage plots. The trick is to lay them out
so they are organized and appealing so we don't indimidate our clients. Here are a few examples
of a pricing and tech booklet, and some promotion printed mailers and nightclub flyers.
