The Scaredy Cats: Scare Defenders

Animated Series

Concept Creation • Story Development • Animation Production

The Scaredy Cats is a series of animated episodes, interactive books, and products centered around six, abandoned cats who form a team to defend the world from the paranormal creatures that haunt children at night. In the tradition of popular 80’s fantasy films and team-based Saturday morning cartoons, The Scaredy Cats are on their way to take over the youth entertainment market!

CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT

Script Writing • Character Development

We needed to flesh out this supernatural fantasy world where cat's become heroes and save the world from the Supernatural terrors that threaten humanity. I started with a story outline, then wrote an origin story pilot that tells the story of how the team came together. Every Character has a unique backstory that paints a picture of their individuality and their struggles.

The next phase was directing and working with talented Character artist Javier Flores  to flesh-out the character's look, and the look of the series overall.

SOUND RECORDING

Casting • Dialog Recording • Music Scoring

We began with casting the lead characters. I auditioned over 150 candidates for the roles. I directed the actors and we recorded the dialog, orchestrated the music, and did the sound design for the pilot.

California Sueños Animated Series

Concept Creation • Character and Story Development

California Sueños is the story of a young poverty stricken teenager as he finds his way through the streets of East Los Angeles to fulfill his destiny and become the artist his late father knew he could be. The series is full of Southern California culture, from the tough streets to the beautiful sunsets.

Our mission was to develop this series from an idea, to a fully fleshed story and screenplay, with rich characters that represent this unique urban, multi-racial world.

PILOT SCRIPT

Story Development • Script Writing

The whole concept started from a story that needed to be told: an underdog-heroes journey set in an urban setting. I had to develop the Lead character's motivation, his struggle and final redemption. Along the way he meets his loyal supporting characters that help him find his way, an inspirational and slightly lost love interest, and mean spirited antagonists that want to destroy his chances to succeed. In the end it all works out in a funny, action packed and heartwarming way.

Los Muertos Aniamted Series

Concept Creation • Story Development

A contemporary Rock/Rap band is summoned by a disembodied Mayan priest and sent on a mission to fulfill an ancient prophecy to rid the world of an evil spirit determined to pollute the earth with the living dead.

We are well on our way to develop our third animated series "Los Muertos". I am working with a talented concept artist to flesh out the look for the characters, and will be preparing our pitch decks to bring this concept to life. - Stay Tuned!
